You need to hire a DUI specialist, and do it soon because you have only 10 days to save your license.

Hire an attorney and fight it. These are difficult to fight and win because of the under 21 zero tolerance laws. You risk a 1 year suspension though.

Were you charged 18 years ago and not prosecuted or do you have a conviction of DUI and it has been 18 years? If you were arrested 18 yrs. ago and not prosecuted you should file to have the charge dismissed. If you were convicted 18 yrs. ago and no other charges since then you can see a lawyer about having the record expunged. That means removing the conviction from the public records.

Not sure I understand your question. This charge is very serious for the 18 year old. If he enters a plea to either DUI or Reckless, because of his age his license will be suspended. Not to mention the mark on his criminal history which can affect his future employment.
