More details to this question:
I had lots of bigger things in cart, was in hurry, and am on lots of medication like fentanyl and dalidud and was I guess confused. I didn't scan formula, wipes, and something else. I was given ticket by cops. I had the money, pulled out cash, asked to pay for whatever I missed. Lady said I was not cooperative because I would not sit in room while they searched my stuff outside the room. I only have a 9 year old and I was getting those items for my sister in law. I am also not allowed to shop at the store for a year. I tried to apologize. I wrote a letter explaining I was scared, confused, and never broke law before. I have mandatory court on June 1 2016.
You're charged with a crime. If you play your cards right, it's possible to make it through this thing without a permanent criminal conviction. In order to prove you guilty, the government must prove that you intentionally tried to steal. I strongly recommend that you retain an attorney to help you defend against this charge.
