What is the best way to handle a bench warrant?

Car broke down and I missed court today. I am a witness for the DA and the judge issued a bench warrant. What is the best way to handle this? What will happen to me?

Since the prosecutor subpoenaed you, contact the prosecutor with proof about your car and be prepared to show it to the judge, too. (You should have called the prosecutor immediately when you realized you had a car issue.)

The best way is to immediately contact the D.A. and explain what happened. Make sure you have evidence that your car broke down, such as towing charges, repair bills, etc.
