Maximum is 3 years in custody. Time for a lawyer. You need a good criminal defense attorney. I'd strongly suggest you find someone who focuses on criminal law and who routinely practices in the court where this case will be heard.

It will depend on whether the charges were filed as a misdemeanor or felony. If filed as a misdemeanor, a jail sentence of 180 days to 1 year is possible. If filed as a felony, a jail sentence of 1 to 3 years is possible.

If filed as a misdemeanor, a year in jail, plus fines and other penalties. The DA and court are going to want to impose serious punishment for such repeat offenders. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. I'll be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be.
