QUESTION

What is the standard sentencing missing a court date?

Asked on Feb 11th, 2017 on Criminal Law - Texas
More details to this question:
I was a postal worker back in 2014 and the inspector general for the post office had caught me taking theft under $500, made me sign paper as guilty without bringing outside police. The $500 did not get paid and so then they set a court date. I failed to appear. Now for the past 13 months, I have been calling my bondsman every week from a traffic violation that had me arrested for this charge. I have a new court date this upcoming week.

It is not missing court that you have to worry about, it is the theft charge that you have against you that should cause you the most concern. You should consult a local criminal defense attorney, most offer free consultations.
