My daughter(11) was molested by a man. The case was concluded, he got 3 yrs. probation. I want to sue for medical costs my daughter will need. She will need to go to psychologist, play therapy, etc. We live in MN and the crime occurred in WI. Do we need to get a lawyer in WI or MN? We did not ask for anything at the time of trial because she did not have any medical costs at the time, it was covered by state funded insurance. Currently I make too much for state insurance and her needs are the same. I want to put it in a fund that will be used for medical expenses for her until she is 21.

Where does the offender live? She is entitled to more than just the medical costs.
