What punishment is given for growing 70 plants of marijuana on his property without having a license to grow medical marijuana?

A friend of one of my relatives is actually doing this, and I’m attempting to find out the actual punishment. Is it just a monetary fine, or prison time or both?

Both. Can be prosecuted for trafficking because of the quantity.
