More details to this question:
I admitted to loss prevention at my work to stealing pills from the pharmacy. They did not know about it yet but would have found out. They would not have known that I did it unless I confessed. I am a pharmacist and knew I needed treatment for addiction. I turned myself in to management and they had me sign a confession. I went to treatment and now have 2 years clean. Most pharmacist in other areas of the state don't even get charged when caught for doing this. I would like to know what arguments to the court I should do in order to avoid getting a felony. Do I have any rights to get the same treatment that others have received? I am being charged for multiple misdemeanor offenses as one felony. The DA has not been willing to reduce from a felony. Any advice?
