What should I do if I have a wrongful conviction on my criminal background?

My conviction record shows I was charged and found guilty of a kidnapping to which I was never arrested nor convicted. Record indicated that I served a prison sentence of 3 years for the crime which I did not commit. This keeps me from getting jobs. I just recently found out about this when I went to an interview and they told me they could not hire me due to the kidnapping conviction.

If the record in the court is wrong you should file a Nunc Pro Tunc petition to correct the record. Any criminal attorney can help.

You need to hire the best lawyer you can afford who specializes in expunctions of petitions for non-disclosure. But you also need to get in touch with DPS and clean up this identity theft that someone obviously put on your record.
