What should I do if I unknowingly put stolen item on my online account?

More details to this question:
Police showed up at parent’s house because the owner saw his item on offer up my account and I now know it's stolen.

You have the right to remain silent. Only idiots talk to investigators/cops. Remember, no matter what you say it will be twisted around and used against you later.
