I have DUI Court Monday. It is a first DUI offense and no priors. I was wondering if wearing church clothes would make even the very slightest bit of difference in court, just curious.
I don't know that dressing in church clothes will necessarily help you, but I would say that it would potentially help more than it would hurt. I always recommend people to dress up for court, at least business casual if possible (ie. no t-shirts, no shorts). If you are in trial where there is a Jury involved, then what you wear could have a pretty big effect on a jury. (in arraignment and pretrial court dates, there is no jury involved). You should check with your attorney on dress code questions. And I highly recommend that you have an attorney represent you and defend you in your case.
