QUESTION

What to do now

Asked on Apr 16th, 2014 on DUI/DWI - Illinois
More details to this question:
Live in IL, got an OWI (in 2000) while in college in IA. Withdrew from school and went back home to IL. Never went to court and moved on with life. Have renewed my license in IL at least twice and have been pulled over a couple of times. How come nothing has ever happened, and should I pursue fixing the problem from 13 years ago.

My best guess is you have a warrant for you in Iowa.  Since you now live in Illinois, their warrant is probably limited to local jurisdictions.  Also, because you failed to appear, your DUI may still be pending in Iowa.  If that DUI is resolved with a guilty DUI finding, they will probably enter a revocation in Illinois.
