More details to this question:
I recently gave birth, both me and baby failed a drug test in the hospital for marijuana when he was born. A warrant was issued, I turned myself in and was released later the same day on pr bond. I was in an abusive situation at home and up until giving birth to the baby was planning on giving it up for adoption because of the situation I was in at home. I entered a safe house upon being discharged from the hospital, and was allowed to keep custody of baby and my other two children.I've also enrolled and been attending drug treatment. Ive applied for a public defender because I just can't afford a lawyer. I just want to know what to expect when I go into court. How do cases like this normally come out? I know jail time is a possibility, but how big of a possibility? I'm counting on being fined as well, and I understand thats set at the discretion of the courts, but is there a maximum? I'm curious to know the likelihood of them removing my children?
