What will a first time offender get for third degree LSD possession?

I got caught with 3 hits of acid. They were in my pocket. Going to court next week and no idea what to expect.

You should have an attorney. That is a serious felony with life long consequences. Without a lawyer the DA may make an offer that sounds good but is not. Get a public defender if you cannot afford private.

Get an attorney and see if something can be worked out. Maybe it could be with no criminal conviction on your record.

You will get a public defender if you are indigent. Retain a good lawyer if you can afford it. You may get counseling, drug court, or a diversion program, depending on what city you are in. You will probably get a criminal record unless you complete a program and remain arrest and drug free for a year or more. You might get probation or even a jail term in some smaller towns with tough judges.
