What will an eight year old boy face for murdering a one year old?

What is the maximum sentence that can be levied against the 8 year old charged with murdering the 1 yr old? Can he be charged as an adult? if it's in juvenile court, what is the sentence he faces? Would he be put in a juvenile detention center, till he's 21? will the trial be a matter of public record, or will all this be hidden from us? Is the boy entitled to a jury trial?

Too much unknown information here. He will not be certified as an adult. As for juvenile punishment, whether placement in a facility is warranted, will depend on a myriad of facts surrounding the entire case and the 8 year old.
