QUESTION

What would a first time offender get for stealing a firearm?

Asked on Mar 10th, 2016 on Criminal Law - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
My boyfriend had gotten into a fight with someone, he beat him up pretty bad I guess he later had gone to the hospital for it. From what I understand the guy had made a statement to the cops saying my boyfriend had taken 2 guns from his house! My boyfriend was not even at the guys house when the fight had happened, why can he be charged with and can he be proven not guilty in court, he also has nothing on his record.

He needs a lawyer. If he didn't steal firearms it is a simple assault case at best. If he has no prior record, he even has more options. If I represented him, he would have a good chance of not even being convicted.
