QUESTION

What would happen to her if she gets caught for theft?

Asked on Feb 06th, 2014 on Criminal Law - Ohio
More details to this question:
My daughter stole $7,000 from my son’s account and put in her account then stole $10,000 worth of jewelry. It's her first offence. She ran to Arizona. I finally got a warrant so the Arizona police could bring her here but decided to give her a chance to prove her in Arizona but she couldn't prove herself after her third court date. She took off now. She has two warrants against her. One in Ohio and one in Arizona. I don't know we're she's at.

Your daughter may be facing some jail time and probation, but the sooner she deals with these charges, the better the outcome may be. Additionally, if she is apprehended on a warrant, that will only lengthen the time which she is detained before trial. If she turns herself in, it would reduce the risk of flight, thereby making it possible to obtain bail and start rehabilitation/counseling, which will further her ability to lessen the severity of her sentence.
