When being served a written arrest and questioned do police have to read me my right? Also if there is not a female police there can they search me?

I am being criminally charged with paraphernalia and possession of weed. When I was being written my arrest and being questioned, the police did not read me my rights. Also, after searching my purse the male police officer frisked me without a female police officer there.
You cannot be questioned/interrogated by the police unless they read you your Miranda warnings. (you have the right to remain silent, blah blah blah). The police can ask you basic information without Miranda, such address, DOB, etc.
