If you're on probation your paper should tell you how long you have to wait until you can own a gun.

This is the law. If you plead or were found guilty, loss of gun privileges is one of the consequences. You can finish your time on ARD, wait 18 months, if this is a misdemeanor, and have it expunged if you qualify, and then you would be able to purchase and have a gun in your possession, but not until then.

What's ARD? Felon's can never own a gun, but paraphernalia is a misdemeanor. So probably after your ARD, I assume it's a type of probation in that County.

If your right oto possess a firearm was revoked as a result of you conviction, you must get your right restored by the court. Generally, there is a MINIMUM od 5 years time, AFTER you have completed all court obligations and been release from probation, PLUS, during that 5 year period, you can have no violations of the law anywhere. That means other states as well.

I do not know what ARD signifies in any event, drug paraphernalia should not result in the loss of a person's right to possess a firearm. You can always apply to the court in which you were sentenced to have your gun rights restored.

In order to possess a firearm you have to have a court order that restores your civil rights and your right to posses a fire arm. I do not know what ARD is. If you are on probation you cannot own or possess a weapon. This would result in a class 4 felony. You need to file a motion with the court after you finish probation in order to have your gun rights restored.
