QUESTION

Will an arrest affect my citizenship application?

Asked on Apr 06th, 2017 on Criminal Law - New York
More details to this question:
I was arrested in an apartment building when I visited a friend who happened to be in the eighth floor. We were sitting on the stairs when the cops came in and arrested us for trespassing. My friend explained to them the he lives in the building right there on the 8th floor and that his door is right there when you come off the stairs in the corner. But the cops said we cannot be on the stairs especially that it leads to the roof and that they assume we were going on to the roof which we argued otherwise. The cops still arrested us for loitering around and near the roof. We were taken to court and the judge adjourned the case and dismissed the case after and also sealed my record. I didn't pay any fine, no service. I wanted to know if this is going to affect my citizenship application.
