QUESTION

Will an unpaid traffic ticket in Hawaii become a problem in NJ?

Asked on Dec 30th, 2013 on Traffic Violations - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My brother in law, who was living in Hawaii at the time, gave the police my husbands name and birthdate when he was pulled over for suspicion of DUI and speeding. He didn't give them his license bc he himself had a warrant. Now weeks later he just confessed to my husband that he was cited for speeding and not having documents, all under my husbands name. What kind of trouble is this going to cause us back in nj and how can we go about fixing this?

your husband must address these nj violations. if he does not address the violations, an arrest warrant will be issued and he will lose his driving license. the brother-in-law must testify on behalf of your husband and tell the court what happened. ed dimon, esq. 732-797-1600 ext 235
