QUESTION

Will detox notify probation?

Asked on Aug 29th, 2015 on DUI/DWI - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
My daughter was given 5 years probation for DUI. Over a year ago she violated probation so spent 8 months in jail until she was given opportunity to go to rehab which she completed successfully. She is no a non report on probation but fell off the wagon and wants to go to detox. Will she be able to do so without going to jail? Should she contact her PO and tell her or will it end her in jail. She had a court appointed attorney when this all happened.

I would read or review the terms of her condition carefully. If it requires reporting any criminal activity, use of illegal substances, etc., you must report. If you do not do it on your own, I do not believe the facility will report her due to privacy law. However, you may want to ask them.
