Will I go to jail for a misdemeanor if I have a clean background?

More details to this question:
I was working at home depot. I made myself in-store credit and used them. They found out. It was $247.32 and charged me with a misdemeanor. I have court in July. I’m a pregnant single mom with 1 child. I don’t know what to do.
