Will I go to jail if I stole clothes from the mall?

I have never stole anything before (750). I feel terrible I even wrote letters to the stores apologizing. I just graduated high school. I am about to go to college in the fall, and I have court in July. I am a good person I hope my judge sees that. I’m freaking out I am going to jail. Everyone says I’m not because it's my first time and I have academic success, going to college, I got tons of scholarships, and I play softball.
