QUESTION

Will I got to Jail

Asked on May 12th, 2014 on Criminal Law - Texas
More details to this question:
recently while at Walmart I walked around getting groceries and a few other items, When I realized I'd left my Credit Card in the car. So I left my son by the front door on a bench with the cart so I could run out there and get it. When I was headed out to the car I had to move the car so I pulled around with my car still in drive I waived at my son to tell him I was moving the car instead of coming out the car he pushed the basket out and I said No baby push it back In. At this point a cart pusher asked me where the receipt for all this was and I stated I hadn't paid for it yet I had to get my credit card. At that point he and another employee said to go park the car. and for me to come back. Then Arrested and booked.

Unless you have a criminal record, it is unlikely that you will be sentenced to jail. The facts you related are interesting and if your son is old enough to expalin what he did you may have a defense that a jury will believe. There will be a video of the event that may help.
