YES. It might. Get it expunged if possible. Expungement will cost $500-600. You have to have a CLEAN record for those last 12 years though.

We don't have "class C" felonies in Texas. If the company from whom you are trying to rent conducts their own search, they will find it IF it was not expunged. (Your question is in the "area" of "felony expungement" but it says that you have a felony on your record so . . . . ) If the company uses a separate company to conduct the search, then the law prohibits the hired company from disclosing the case (over 7 years old) to the rental company. If you received deferred adjudication probation and successfully served it out, you should hire a lawyer to seal it (assuming it is eligible.) If the case was dismissed or nobilled, you should hire a lawyer to expunge it so it is completely off your record.

It most likely will show up, depending on the accuracy of the background check.

It depends on the type of employment that you seek, but it is likely to show up unless you have it sealed. Felonies are now eligible to be sealed after 10 years instead of the 15 year requirement that was in effect until this year.

If you have not had it expunged, it will show up. Nothing automatically drops off a criminal history report unless it is expunged. Contact me and I can get this expunged for you.

I don't know what a class C felony is. That is not a term used in California law. If you have a California felony it will show up on a background check. If it is a felony from another state then you have to check with an attorney in that state.
