QUESTION

Will some charges be dropped against my son?

Asked on Feb 01st, 2012 on Criminal Law - Minnesota
More details to this question:
My son is charged with 2 counts of assault one with a deadly weapon (his vehicle) & the other just assault. Now he never touched the guy with his vehicle or bodily touched him. But he is being charged with them anyway. The guy then broke into my son’s home & attacked him with a baseball bat. He hurt my son. I am wondering why they are still charging my son with assault with no injuries? The guy is my son’s girlfriends ex-husband; he has been harassing them vandalizing my son’s vehicles etc.

If your son is already charged the Asst. County Attorney had decided they have enough evidence to bring him to trial.
