Will warrant be issued for unkwnown court date?

More details to this question:
my son had a court date for a hearing regarding his community service. He's doing the community service but didn't finish the amount of hours yet. He didn't receive the letter until after the court date because I had it and forgot to give it to him. I didn't know it was for Court. What can he or I do? Will I he be sent to jail?

please explain in writing to the court the circumstances of why your son missed the court date. please have your son appear in front of the judge as soon as possible to explain what happened. you should be there to testify. have your son complete the hours required. ed dimon, esq.
