More details to this question:
I got 2 tickets that possibly turned into a warrant but they are in Texas. I moved to Washington and my employer has to do a background check so that I can get a promotion. Will they show up?

Yes. An arrest warrant for a criminal case from any state will probably show up during a background check. Growing technology makes it more and more likely. If you have simply ignored a civil traffic penalty, you might be able to solve the problem by paying the fine. You or an attorney should contact the Texas Court to find out (1) If you do have a warrant, and if so, (2) What it will take to clear it up. It isn't going to disappear on its own.

Whether a warrant will show up on a background check depends on how thorough the check is, how deep. Best for you to find out the status of those warrants first and make plans to resolve them.

It all depends on what databases your employer uses. There is no one background check. An FBI top security clearance is different than a commercial database like Publicdata.com that only picks up jailable offenses.
