Any legal grounds to fight on

More details to this question:
Applied for a credit card while on a cruise in international waters on a foreign flagged cruise ship. Being sued in Florida for nonpayment. Had credit card for four years before becoming disabled and losing employment.  The question is " is the suit properly before a court in Florida when credit was applied for overseas

Probably, assuming you are a Florida resident or the contract sets venue here. The better question is what law applies and if your NOT a Florida resident nor are they, whether there is jurisidiction over either of you.
