QUESTION

Bill collection daily calls?

Asked on Nov 11th, 2013 on Collections - New York
More details to this question:
I receive calls everyday before 9 a.m. from a company. Is it necessary for them to call everyday when I give them the same answer? I am on Disability and these calls are very aggravating, especially knowing I can only pay once a month, they continually call. Most of these calls are made from virtual call centers and some of the agents are not very pleasant or do not respond right away when I say hello...

If the calls are not from the original creditor you can demand that they cease and desist from any further contact with you or they will be deemed in violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices ACT.
