Can a credit card company sue me?

More details to this question:
Can credit one bank sue me for a debt I had a few years ago. They call me and said if i don't pay they will serve me and take me to civil court basically file a civil judgment? Can they do this and if so can they touch tax return or Auto Loan for a car meaning my husband have a car and i'm a cosigner.  they just mentioned the car and how they can see my Auto Loan on my Credit Report. What shall I do? Also my 8 year old gets SSI disability check and I'm his payee so My name is also on the check can they take that.

Yes, you can be sued. In the event a civil judgment is obtained against you your bank accounts can be restrained and levied upon and your assets may be seized and your wages may be garnished.
