can an employer take out wages without written authorization due to damage

More details to this question:
such as tires or rims or offender can you take money out of your paycheck without written authorization or any authorization at all and it's not in the handbook this employer has taken tens of thousands of dollars from employees for the past 15 years he also denies DOT regulations he make you work 10-12 hours make you work at night and expect you back the next day after 2-3 hours
