QUESTION

Can I be sued by a friend for a personal loan

Asked on Aug 22nd, 2014 on Debtor and Creditor - Florida
More details to this question:
A friend of mine loaned me $600 and I signed a piece of paper saying that I would pay him back. It was not notarized or anything and he had his girlfriend sign it as a witness. I repaid the loan and forgot to get the paper from him. Now he is saying that if I do not pay him, again, he will sue me for the money. Can he sue me with just a handwritten letter saying I would pay him by a certain date with only his girlfriend as a witness?
