QUESTION

Can I get my money back?

Asked on Feb 01st, 2016 on Collections - Tennessee
More details to this question:
I recently helped someone out that I thought was a friend, and I bought a car for her. She said when she started working, She would pay me back. She hasn't done that although she's started working and is now doing good. It's only been about a month or two since the agreement was made, and I do have text messages from this person so I do have proof of where I was asked to buy the car and where she said she'd pay me back. I'm not saying I'll get all of my money back, But can I get some of it back for now being stuck with a car that I have no use for, and her breaking an agreement? Also I bought her clothes and a new phone which I don't want the money back for, But I spent money I didn't have to spend to help someone out who is now sleeping with my spouse. She's tore apart my family, my relationship, and she's caused a lot of stress and depression. I've had to be put on medicine and therapy due to what she's been doing to me. Is there anything I can do? She also hacked my fb, & bullied me

I don't have anything legal to offer you. You and she have a contract which she has breached. You could sue her for the damages but the problem is that she probably has no money to to pay you and you are stuck with the car (and the debt if it wasn't paid in full). The only thing that I can suggest is that you sale the car, learn from this experience and move on as best as you can. Sorry I can not offer more.
