QUESTION

Can I sue a co-borrower?

Asked on Mar 03rd, 2014 on Debtor and Creditor - New York
More details to this question:
I coborrowed on a vehicle for an ex. He never made any payments, so I let them repossess the vehicle from him. They sold at auction and I am now making monthly payments to the credit union for the difference between the loan total minus the amount they sold the vehicle for at auction. Is there any possible way of suing him at all. He is currently up on charges for felony grand larceny for unemployment fraud, so thought this may be a good time to take action on this, if it's even an option to sue him?

You most certainly can sue him! You should also alert the District Attorney.
