QUESTION

Can this charge off be removed?

Asked on Apr 13th, 2013 on Debtor and Creditor - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
I live in Pennsylvania. In November of 2007 a vehicle that I helped a boyfriend purchase went into default and was repossessed. He made the down payment and monthly payments until he was injured and could not work, but the loan was solely in my name. Every few months the creditor reports this debt as if it's a new debt. Not long ago I received a notice that the debt was "cancelled" as of October 2012 however they reported the debt again in January 2013! I know that after 7 years a debt is supposed to fall off of my report but from my understanding with this creditor constantly reporting the debt it will restart the seven year period. Is it legal for them to do this and is there any way to have the credit bureaus remove this once the 7 years and 180 days are up? Also can I sue the creditor as this has caused me a great deal of hardship?
