Asked on Aug 19th, 2016 on Collections - Florida
More details to this question:
I just feel I have been ripped off, pay double of the loan. I am a day late and they sent me a collections letter. I told Chris that I would probably contact a lawyer and he told me he could come and take the car now.

So.......you get a title loan oout of desperation...likely because you have crap credit....and THEN don't make your payment on time....and YOU feel ripped off? First, if you are using a title loan company ....you are absolutely getting ripped off...BUT....thats because you are living beyond your means and borrowing money from a business that is one step short of Tony Soprano. Second, given the nature of thier business and the clientele, title loan companies are RUTHLESS. Assuming they abide by Fla. Stat 537, they can charge a hefty interest rate and BEFORE you take out the loan isthe time to dispute those amounts...not after you put out your financial fire with the money you borrowed.
