Asked on Oct 10th, 2012 on Collections - New York
More details to this question:
NY residents and businesses sign a Confession of Judgment related to a civil case filed in CA. The Conf of Judg does not include the county of residence or the place of registration for the companies. If this Conf of Judgment results in a judgment issued by the CA court, is the judgment enforceable in NY even if the Conf of Judgment excluded this information?

Under the full faith and credit act, a sister state judgment awarded on the merits is enforceable upon proper procedural compliance.  I believe a confession is adequate and you would be subject upon compliance of the creditor.
