failed to pay a payday loan from 2012

More details to this question:
I am being contacted to day with offer to pay out of court . To pay sum of $150.00 today or 2 payments of $137.50 first payment would have to be made by or on the 29th of this month . I can't make a payment untill the 3rd of next month that is when I get my check . They are threatening to serve me and take me to court.

On one hand this could be a scam on the other legitimate statement if you defaultd on the loan. Bottom line is you say you dont have the money so someone will blink.
