how do i prevent an old bill from going to the marshal

More details to this question:
I recieved a letter from the marshal's office demanding oayment for an outstanding amount and said if i don't start paying within a certain amount of days that then the money will be taken out of my paycheck threw my employer

You have a judgment against you. You must get it vacated. I can do it for $800.
