I voluntary turn in my auto back too the credit union anthey still want me to pay balance. They have started to garinish my check. What can I do to stop that process.

Bankruptcy is the only way of which I am aware to force them to stop that process and it has the added benefit of eliminating your obligation to pay on the debt.
