HOW LONG CAN A JUDGEMENT BE KEPT ON A CREDIT REPORT?

More details to this question:
Have a small claims judgment case from 2008. Default judgment I didn't know anything about until recently when I tried to purchase a home. How long can this judgment stay on my credit report and how long can lenders hold it against me?

There is no time limit if the judgment creditor properly renews the judgment. If not, I think the initial period is 10 years.
