More details to this question:
, however a process server came to my previous address but did not leave any papers with anyone there either. I went to the court and requested a copy of the summons and filed my answer with my defenses(one being improper service) There was never an Afidavit of Service or statement to e-file filed with the court byt the plaintiff. Is this "improper service?" I live in Westchester County, NY.

Without examining the affidavit of service that the plaintiff's attorney will eventually show to the court, it would be mere speculation to say whether the service was good or not. However, that you received the papers may factor into a court's decision. Gerry Wendrovsky, Esq.- Upper West Side Lawyer www.upperwestsidelawyer.com
