QUESTION

If attorney withdraws from case do i still owe him

Asked on May 16th, 2017 on Debtor and Creditor - Florida
More details to this question:
he was charging $7500 i gave him $4000 for a re sentence he showed up for court it was postponed a few weeks later he quit stating conflict of interest. So he was not present for the actual sentencing. A few months back a collection agency calls me saying i owe $2500 for a re sentencing case . All i want to know is how and why if he quit

Depends on the reason for the "conlfict of interest"...if its because of something YOU did, you probably are not entitled to a refund. If its was not, then the lawyer should not charge you for a case he should not have taken.
