Is This a small claims issue or a Criminal issue

More details to this question:
I own a company. We had a customer take one of our show uniforms $250.00 to borrow. She has not returned any of our phone calls, messages or emails to return the item in 3 weeks. Is this a smail claims issue OR do i contact non emergency law enforcement to file a theft report?

Its really neither. Its a hard lesson not loan things out to people. It will cost you more than the valueof the uniform to file a suit and the police will likely not treat it as a theft but a "civil matter" because you voluntarily gave them possession of the item.If you would like, we do offer FREE consultations to assist in determing how we can help.
