More details to this question:
They are currently searching for our bank accounts to be garnished. We have received 2 garnishment summons. They have tried two seperate banks, that we dont have accounts at. I know its only a matter of time before they find ours. So, it also has in the paperwork a non-earnings garnishment disclosure form. We have not filled this out. very confusing. I have heard stories of people going to jail regarding summons issues. Is this a form we have to worry about him going to jail over? We really dont understand all the questions on it. Is it possible to try to set up a payment plan at this point to avoid further legal action/garnishments? We are at a loss. We really cant afford to pay them right now, but Im terrified that somehow my husband will end up with a warrant and in jail. Then we will have no income at all. Help!
There are several options, but ignoring papers that are served on you is not one. If you want to have a free meeting to discuss these options, our office is in Minneapolis and we even validate parking.
