My vehicle was lien by a mechanic but the vehicle had a finance lien on the title. The finance company did not respond to their lien notice. The mechanic was granted their petition after 35 days and the state (DMV) issued a title for the vehicle. QUESTION: Am I exempt from the debt from the first lien holder (Financer)?
