hospital charged wrong/expired insurance policy and was denied. They were provided with correct information on date of service.I was not notified for aprox. 20 months. Debt went to collections. conference call with insurance and hospital and myself resulted in hospital refiling with correct information but denied for "timely manner" Seeing that this is due to their error how to I remove this from credit report, trans union is only one showing all others removed. Collections agency has stopped attempting to collect given circumstances. Hospital refuses to pull account.
Unfortunately, the hospital does not owe you a burden, nor is their error a defense for your default. You contracted with the doctor and hospital and you contracted with the your insurance carrier. If the service providers were not in your insurance carrier's network, you are ultimately liable for payment.
