QUESTION

Should I have to pay?

Asked on May 31st, 2016 on Collections - New York
More details to this question:
Recently my healthcare provider was changed. I was feeling sick so I looked up online doctors who took my insurance. I found a local one and I called and ask if they are taking my current plan. They said yes. I went as a new patient under the assumption that I was covered. Days after I was contacted by the office and found out that they do not take my health care. I am now stuck with a $3,000 bill. Should I have to pay this?

Yes.  How are you going to prove they said they take the insurance.  They will deny it.
